Speech Therapy Evaluations
If you’re concerned about your child’s pronunciation of certain words or how easily others understand them, an articulation evaluation is recommended to assess their speech. We assess children using a blend of formal, standardized testing tools and informal observations. Additionally, we analyze a spontaneous speech sample, listening to your child converse to determine their level of understanding. Verbal expression encompasses vocabulary, sentence structure, grammar, and the age-appropriate conveyance of thoughts and emotions. Nonverbal expression includes gestures such as pointing and hand leading, vocalizations like grunting and crying, as well as facial expressions, among others
